What Lies Beneath

Selected works from This body of work subtly interrogates the present realities and underlying histories embodied within the Australian landscape. 
Through these works, we delve into themes of environmental stress, the ever-present fear of fire in the bush, the shadow of Terra Nullius, dispossession, and the neglect of a vulnerable land that followed, which are approached throughout the combined series. 


Our aim is not an overt narrative, but rather a hope that viewers will be inspired to reflect on what is, what was, and what might become of the Australian landscape through these mostly abstract forms.
Although different in formal approach, the two artists share a profound concern for these issues.
